Ingredients:

For the tea:

  • 1 cup of black tea leaves
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of condensed milk

For the tapioca pearls:

  • 1/2 cup of tapioca pearls
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar

Instructions:

To start, we will first make the tea. In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add in the black tea leaves and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a separate container.

In the same pot, add in the brown sugar, honey, and condensed milk. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is well combined. Let it cool down to room temperature.

Next, we will prepare the tapioca pearls. In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add in the tapioca pearls and let it cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, cover the pot, and let it sit for another 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, mix together 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer until it becomes a thick, syrup-like consistency.

Drain the tapioca pearls and rinse them with cold water. Add them to the syrup and mix well to coat the pearls evenly. Let it cool down.

Finally, it's time to assemble our bubble tea. In a glass, add a generous amount of the cooled tea and a spoonful of the syrup-coated tapioca pearls. Top it off with some ice cubes and enjoy your homemade Chinese bubble tea!
